Welcome to 2008! The first our VSF Junior Graded Series events was held at the Melbourne Sports & Aquatic Centre with 57 entrants participating. It was our first event for 2008 and it was fantastic to see most of you back on deck again after the Christmas & New Year Break.

Events were conducted for A, B, C, D, E, Novice and Beginner grades and all participants have gained points which will count towards their Graded Ranking.

It is really terrific to see more and more new players joining our growing tournament circuit. We really appreciate the great support we receive from all players (and their parents & coaches) in attending our events and making them as good as they are.

As always with the timed, point-a-rally format, there were some exciting, close games with many coming down to a sudden-death rally to determine the winner when scores were tied on the bell. This always produces a very competitive but good spirited atmosphere which we all enjoy so much.

We are also happy to announce a new sponser to our Junior Circuit. Black Knight have generously donated a squash racquet to help raise funds for the upcoming AJC to be held in Western Australia this year. We have produced raffle tickets (20 tickets per book) to raffle off this racquet. Quite a lot of the players have taken books and are doing their bit to help. This will be drawn at our next Graded Series day.
