Our ninth VSF Junior Graded Series "STATE TITLES", was again held at the Melbourne Sports & Aquatic Centre. With 80 entrants participating it was our biggest and best turn out ever for a graded event. This event followed on immediately after High Performance Program training session (run from 9-10:45am). Due to the large number of entrants 9 courts were used right through the whole day. Thanks to all players for being ready to take to the court on time and assisting with marking and refing duties. Thanks also to Brad Kemp for his help throughout the day with running the event.

Events were conducted for A, B, C, D, E, Novice and Beginner grades.

After a huge day the presentations were kicked off with Denise Hill and Lao Biesbroek, President, of the Maroondah Squash Club on hand to present a special donation from the members of thier club to a junior player worthy of thier support and encouragement. This presentation has been ongoing for many years and the Victorian Junior Squash community appreciate the generostity of the members from the Maroondah Squash Club. This years recipient was Kasey Soutar from Morwell who is part of the Gippsland Acadamy and has in the past represented Victoria with pride. We all wish her and all of the Victorian team well in Queensland.

2007 GRADED CIRCUIT MAJOR PRIZE Drawn on the day was our 2007 Graded Circuit major prize - all players who participated in the Graded Circuit over the past twelve months had a raffle ticket for every event they entered placed into the draw. The more events you play, the better your chances of winning!!! Kooyong up and comer, Adam Flett, did the honours, drawing out the winning ticket ... Congratulations to James Browne-Kerr who won a Portable DVD Player!!! James started playing squash only 1 year ago and is very enthusiastic about his squash.

All participants in today's event have gained points which will count towards their Graded Ranking for the 2008 Circuit. The Graded Rankings will be updated in the very near future.
