2007 METRO JUNIOR AGE
CHAMPIONSHIPS

The Metro Junior Age Squash Championships were held on Sunday 3rd June at GP Squash City in Gladstone Park. Despite many regular junior tournament players not competing (due to competing overseas in Malaysia) there were still good enty numbers - 49 in total. Thanks to Ray Price, GP Squash City venue operator, for the use of the well presented, 8 court venue.

The competitiveness, sportsmanship and enthusiasm of the players were at the usual high levels. Well done to those players, parents, coaches who made a special effort to travel long distances and get up quite early on a Sunday morning.

Thanks to VSF Development Officer, Mark Ikin, and Amanda Stevenson who ran the event without a hitch and to the usual high standards you have all become accustomed to, while Richard was away.

Thank you to Bev Murphy, Faye St John and Dino Zagami who operated the cateen all day - the food was delicious and your efforts are appreciated as money raised from this canteen goes towards Victorian Junior Squash Fundraising pool.
