COMPULSORY REFEREE LECTURES STATE / SSL / VSL & CLUB CIRCUIT

It has been agreed that every player participating in a State Grade, SSL or VSL Men's/ Women's Midweek competition should attend a Referee Lecture at least once every 4 years so they become Rules Accredited.

Rules Accredited Lectures commenced in 2004 and accreditation remains valid for 4 calendar years, i.e. a player accredited in 2004 ceases to be accredited at 31/12/07 and would need to attend their next Lecture in 2008.

For those players not accredited, Referee Lectures are to be held during September/October this year, for all State Men's and Women's Grade's, as well as, SSL and VSL Men's and Women’s Midweek teams.

It is mandatory that at least four players from each team are rules accredited (for 4 player team grades) and three players must be rules accredited for 3 player team grades, for the Team to qualify for the 2008 Spring finals series.

To become accredited players must either:-

·         Be a current financial VSRRA member.

·         Attend a VSRRA/VSF/VMSA authorised Referee Lecture between 9 August 2004 and 15 October 2008. As earlier stated, log onto the VSF website to check if you are already Rules Accredited.

Penalty for non-compliance

1.  The team will be ineligible to participate in the Spring 2008 finals series.

2.  The team will receive a fine.

NB: Any team deemed ineligible to participate in the Spring Season finals series will still be required to meet their refereeing duties.
