2008 SSL JUNIOR AGE
CHAMPIONSHIPS

Another successful junior age event was conducted at Brighton Squash Centre on Sunday with 64 entrants. It was great to see the loads of players having a great time and making new friends. Thank you to Phil Larmer and his crew for makng the venue available and making us feel welcome.

Congratulations to all competitors who really did play some great squash and were always willing to co-operate with scoring and refereeing duties helping us to keep matches on time throughout the day - we also appreciate the assistance from many parents who scored and refereed or simply chased up kids for us!

The hot conditions made it difficult but the players managed to maintain a high standard of play giving the parents lots to talk about. With the National Junior Series just around the corner most of the players have certanly been working hard over the summer judging by the results that came to the tournament desk.

Our next Tournament follows HPP training and this will be the last time the players get a chance to get some tough match practice in before we go to Ballarat and take on some of the best players from around Australia and overseas.
