CONDITIONS OF PLAY


1. All players, including emergencies, must be registered prior to participation in a match. Registration can only be made by contacting Mark Ikin on 9682 2199 or 0418 542 965.
2. All players must be present at the venue of the match prior to the official starting time.
3. Competition matches will be played under the “Rules of the International Game of Squash Rackets” - 2001.
4. All matches shall be best of five games using traditional scoring.
5. A player shall be deemed eligible if the player turns 23 years of age or a younger age on January 1, 2008.
6. 4 players in a team on game day. Court cost ~ $6pp per round / $8pp when there is 2 rounds on one day to cover court hire.
7. Players of all standards and junior ages are welcome to play in this competition. Beginners are welcome to play.
8. The official ball for A & B grade is the Dunlop double yellow dot ball, however, in B grade if both players agree the Dunlop single yellow dot ball or Karakal big ball can be used.
9. Home team to provide results sheets, scoresheets, scoreboards, pens and squash balls. Home team to fax results sheet to VSF office FAX: 9682 2399.
10. The winning team of each match will be the team with the most rubbbers won. If equal on rubbers won, the winning team will be the team with the most games won. If equal on rubbers and games won, the winning team will be the team with the most points won. If equal on rubbers, games and points the match will be drawn.
11. In each match teams will be awarded 1 point toward the team’s ladder points for every rubber won. The winning team of each match is awarded 2 bonus points toward the team’s ladder points. In the case of a drawn match the 2 bonus points will be split between the 2 teams.
12. A and B grade players must have played at least 3 matches to be eligible for the finals. C grade players must have played at least 2 matches to be eligible for the finals.
13. Players are required to mark/referee the match immediately following their own or as directed by the Competition Manager.
14. If a club has 2 or more teams in one grade, these players are allowed to fill-in for the other team in the same grade during the home and away season, however this is not permitted in the semi-final or grand final.
15. The protocol for a drawn match in a Semi-Final and Grand Final is that each of the 4 players that played in the match, play their opponents in one game. The winning team will be the team with the most games won, if equal on games won, the winning team will be the team with the most points won.

16. Protective eyewear that complies with Squash Australia policy is compulsory for all players that are 19 years old and younger in the competition and must be worn for the duration of all practice and matches, protective eyewear must also be worn for the duration of all doubles practice and doubles matches.
17. Photographs and video taken of players participating in this competition may be used by the Victorian Squash Federation for future advertising or promotional purposes.
18. The Competition Organisers (Victorian Squash Federation and their officers, employees or agents) shall not be liable for any death or personal injury, loss of or damage to property sustained or incurred by any person in connection with the competition howsoever caused.
19. The Competition Manager reserves the right to (a) Accept or refuse any entry; (b) Disqualify any player for late arrival or misconduct; (c) Alter match times; (d) Vary conditions of play.
20. The doubles squash rubbers will be played under the ‘World Squash Doubles Rules’ 2003.
